Regional Employers Show Strong Interest in Playmobil Job Fair in Dietenhofen

The Horst Brandstätter Group is supporting employees at the Playmobil plant in Dietenhofen through the current transition period with a wide range of targeted initiatives. A key component is the multi‑day on‑site job fair, which has drawn an excellent response: More than 20 regional companies presented over 180 job openings—ranging from production and logistics roles to commercial positions.

Employees made active use of the event during working hours to explore potential career paths and engage directly with prospective employers. The Federal Employment Agency was also present with an information booth, offering guidance on qualification, job applications, and placement services.

“We will not leave our workforce on their own during this challenging time. Our goal is to open up tangible prospects for them,” says HR Director Anna Freyberger. “The strong interest from companies clearly shows how much our employees’ skills are valued—and that they have very good opportunities for new career paths within the region.”

In the run‑up to the job fair, the Group had already launched several initiatives to help employees prepare early for their professional reorientation. These include individual application support and information sessions designed to provide an overview of the regional job market.

In parallel, the Horst Brandstätter Group is holding discussions with the works council. Together, they are working on a responsible and fair solution for the workforce. The aim is to establish a comprehensive social plan and set up a transfer company to ensure a smooth transition.

These measures follow the announced relocation of Playmobil production to other sites within the international production network. The Horst Brandstätter Group is therefore offering a variety of support programs to assist employees in the best possible way throughout this transition phase until the plant closes at the end of June this year.
